The Novarte Ensemble was founded in 2015 and it started originally performing as a piano sextet. The ensemble consisted of leading instrumentalists from major Greek orchestras. Through the years the ensemble evolved musically and also as a form. Today, the form of the ensemble transforms according to the needs of each project. Despite its permanent members, the ensemble collaborates regularly with different artists and soloists, serving the maximum needs of the music and artistry.
The repertoire of the Novarte Ensemble focuses on 20th-century music, especially of the impressionistic and contemporary music but stays also close to the tradition and legacy of the classical and romantic era. Apart from performing well-established pieces, the Novarte Ensemble regularly collaborates with young composers and performs original compositions as well as arrangements and orchestral and symphonic reductions. Novarte Ensemble collaborated and performed with the Athens State Orchestra in 2016. Among others, the ensemble has performed on Megaron Mousikis in Athens, the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, the International String Festival in Elbasan, Albania, and Malta Spring Festival at Teatru Manoel Valletta.
